Field Trips
20+ years of field trip fun!
For 20+ years we have provided a place for kids of all ages to learn about agriculture and other educational topics.
Since it is an election year, our corn maze design is a patriotic Eagle and our educational theme is '“Voting”. We will have a Voting learning center where students receive a voter’s registration card, sign in at the polls, and vote for President of Holiday Acres in our voting booths. We’ll be choosing two farm animals as the candidates and the winner will be announced each day as the votes are tallied. It is always fun to see how excited the children get when their choice is the winner!
Each field trip includes:
Corn Maze with trivia based on our educational theme (Patriotic/Voting/America!) to assist you in finding your way.
Voting Learning Center complete with voter’s registration card, signing in at the polls, and voting for President of Holiday Acres in our voting booths.
Nature Trail - learn about trees, the creek, the meadow, the woods, and the animals living there.
Hayride to the corn maze/nature trail and back seeing the pond and you-pick flower field along the way.
Farm-to-Market Learning Center where kids do pretend farm chores and take the farm products to the market to see the connection between where their food comes from and where they purchase it.
Fun Town miniature town play area where imaginations are encouraged. Be a frontier settler in our log cabin, a sheriff or outlaw at the jail, a teacher or student in the schoolhouse, or an out of this world astronaut in the rocket. With toys, slides, swings and our large corn bin the kids won’t want to leave this play place!
Petting Zoo & Farm Animals - a variety of farm animals to see including donkeys, ponies, miniature horses, miniature mule, pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and long-horn steer.
